Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan was established in 2012 and started functioning in 2014. Ghazi University is situated in the center of Dera Ghazi Khan city. There are two buildings of the University. One is at College Chowk where students are recently studying and other is at Airport road D.G Khan. The Campus is at College road is called City Campus and the Campus at Airport road is called Airport Campus.
Ghazi University is a public sector university of Pakistan, chartered by Government of Punjab and recognized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The University is widely known as an institution of strong performance and high ambition. It plays a significant role in developing endemic human resources through its highly productive achievement, both in sciences and humanities. Ghazi University caters to the educational needs of the Southern Punjab and Surrounding areas by offering diverse educational programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Ghazi University is located in the main/city campus of the University. The faculty of the department contains of professional and experienced teachers. Department of Computer Science and Information Technology is one of the old and well established department of the University. The IT lab in the department is providing facility of more than 100 computers. The lab has multimedia facility. All the computers in the lab are connected through a networking system and dressed with internet facility.
