University of the Poonch Rawalkot is a public sector university of Pakistan, chartered by Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and recognized by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. University of the Poonch was established in 2014. University is located in Rawalkot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan. Mission The University of Poonch is to build foundation for the educational opportunities under conducive environment to take the best advantages for the identification of self reliance, wisdom, values, human potentials for the advancement of knowledge, development of skills and intellectuals to contribute and support the society for the betterment of humanity. Department of Computer Science and Information Technology is one of the old and well established departments of the university. Programs in departments are accredited by National Computing Education and Accreditation Council. The faculty of the department of Computer Science and IT contains of professional and experienced teachers. The IT lab in the department is providing facility of more than 60 computers. The Department of Computer Sciences and IT focuses on producing Computer Sciences and IT professionals who are able to explore new dimensions in the computing domain, and look for emerging areas in which information technology may be applied.
